Poultry Presentations and Outdoor Cookery
Saturday, July 20, 2019
Presentations and Outdoor Cookery have poultry components. Both events are held in conjunction with the 4-H Congress (July 20 – 23, 2019).
Egg Cookery
sponsored by the North Carolina Egg Association
Participants will present a demonstration on the preparation of an egg dish. Demonstrations must include
- Egg information
- Steps in preparing the dish
- A finished dish for sampling
- Only the recipe and sample for the judges

Chicken Barbecue
sponsored by the North Carolina Poultry Federation
Participants will demonstrate barbecuing chicken using chicken halves.
Demonstrations must include
- 3 1.25-1.5lb chicken halves
- All prep and cooking in 2.5 hours

Turkey Barbecue

Participants will demonstrate barbecuing chicken using turkey breast filets.
Demonstrations must include
- 2 1.5lb turkey breast filets
- All prep and cooking in 2.5 hours
