The North Carolina 4-H Congress is an annual educational event sponsored by the 4-H Youth Development Department at N.C. State University and planned by the state 4-H Council.

4-H Poultry Presentations and Outdoor Cookery
Presentations and Outdoor Cookery have poultry components. Both events are held in conjunction with the NC 4-H Congress.Egg Chef Challenge
sponsored by the North Carolina Egg AssociationParticipants will present a demonstration on the preparation of an egg dish. Demonstrations must include
- Egg information
- Steps in preparing the dish
- A finished dish for sampling
- Only the recipe and sample for the judges
Chicken Barbecue
sponsored by the North Carolina Poultry Federation
Participants will demonstrate barbecuing chicken using chicken thighs.
Demonstrations must include- 2 lb Chicken Thighs
- All prep and cooking in 2 hours
Turkey Barbecue
sponsored by the North Carolina Poultry Federation
Participants will demonstrate barbecuing chicken using turkey burgers.
Demonstrations must include- 2 lb ground turkey burger (ground turkey as is 85-90% lean; 75% by weight of the burger ingredients must consist of the ground turkey; only the patties are submitted, and no other hamburger toppings may be included; 1/4 pound (uncooked weight), with two (2) to be submitted for sensory evaluation
- All prep and cooking in 2 hours
