Any youth 5-18 interested in poultry are invited to join the Poultry Pack 4-H Club hosted on NC State University’s main campus in Scott Hall, home of the Prestage Department of Poultry Science (PDPS).
The next meeting is August 30, 2019, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Scott Hall 216.
4-H is a youth development organization teaching community service, leadership, and other valuable life skills. Learn more about 4-H.
Poultry Pack is led by Dr. Mary Fosnaught, Poultry Extension Associate for 4-H & Youth Development and co-led by NC State University PDPS undergrads: Hannah Lewis, Elizabeth Harper, and Cody Burton.
Participants will hatch chicks, collect data as the chicks grow, analyze data and create charts and other visualizations, and get a taste of college life on campus. In addition to poultry science experience, all 4-H’ers learn about how to work together, run meetings and be good team members.
