The 2020 N.C. A&T Small Farms Week Youth Essay Competition is now open!

Topic

This year’s topic is “How has N.C. agriculture affected your life today?”

Eligibility

The competition is open to 4-H students in 6^th, 7^th or 8^th grade across the state.

Essay Guidelines

All essays must be computer generated and 1 (one) page in length. 4-Hers should include their

• name,
• grade level,
• name of 4-H agent and
• the county they reside in on their essay.

Submit essays to your 4-H Agent.

Essay Judging

Submissions will be judged on content (50 points), grammar/spelling (15 points) and originality/creativity (35 points). Prizes will be awarded to the top two students in each grade level.

Deadline

The deadline for submission is 5:00 pm on Monday, March 16, 2020.
